Straight from the street stalls of Southeast Asia.
It all started with Mama & Papa.
Mamak was founded in Orlando in 2014 by Mama Jenny and Papa Ken Lo, first-generation Malaysian-American immigrants whose relationship with food began long before Mamak. Their family recipes and experiences inspired a restaurant built around the street-stall culture they knew from Southeast Asia.
A little bit of everywhere.
Mamak Asian Street Food brings bold Malaysian and Indonesian flavors to every plate. From sizzling Beef Satay Skewers to rich Malaysian Coconut Curry, our Asian street food menu is packed with dishes worth making a trip for. The name Mamak comes from a term associated with Southeast Asian street vendors and food stalls, where cooks put their own spin on traditional recipes. That idea is at the heart of the menu, bringing together influences from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia in one place.
The food stall, Orlando style.
Roti Canai, charcoal-grilled satay, wok-fired noodles, spicy soups, fried rice, curries, and more make up a menu designed to capture the variety of Southeast Asian street food. Some recipes come straight from the Lo family's own parents and grandparents, giving Mamak's menu a connection to home.
A table full of smiles (and stories).
At Mamak, every dish carries a little piece of somewhere—an old family recipe, a street stall in Malaysia, a favorite meal from childhood, or a flavor discovered along the way. That's what makes the menu feel bigger than any one cuisine. Order online for pickup or delivery, or gather around the table and make a few stories of your own.
